If Hired, My Services Include:
A free interview/consultation to meet each other, typically we meet in a comfortable setting for a casual "get-acquainted" consultation to see if it's a good fit. This is your opportunity to learn more about my practice style and personality, as well as an opportunity for me to really learn about you, and what type of support you are looking for.
2 prenatal visits - I will discuss your birth preferences, tools and techniques during labor, and use this time to get to know you better.
On-Call availability from 38 weeks on (or earlier if needed) plus constant support throughout your pregnancy to address questions and concerns.
Continuous direct support throughout labor, birth and immediately postpartum. In your birthing time, I will meet you in your home or at your intended place of birth when you are ready for your birth support team. Regardless of the length of your labor, I will be there to provide continuous emotional, physical, spiritual, and informational support starting in the more active and challenging stage of your labor. Immediate support in establishing a feeding relationship and bonding.
I will stay by your side up to 2 hours after your babe is born, until you are feeling confident in feeding your new infant, I can provide photography with your camera upon request.
Postpartum support includes a call within the first 48 hours and/or a home visit, I will join you and your family in your home within 2 weeks following your birth. We will sit together and discuss questions regarding lactation, chest/breastfeeding, and bottle feeding, processing the birth, referrals to local resources as needed, newborn care, and the normal range of physical and emotional discomforts and well-being. I will also ask for feedback about my role.
I serve families who live within the Twin Cities metro/Central Minnesota area (within roughly a 45 minute radius SE of the St. Cloud area).
I feel strongly that no one should go without a doula based on financial restrictions. If you are looking for a doula and my fee is cost prohibitive, please contact me and we will work together to find you a doula, whether it be myself or another. I offer a sliding scale payment plan for anyone who feels that they cannot afford the standard doula price. I view myself as an ally to all people, LGBT people, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups.
Sliding Scale Fee: $100-200 or *FREE through SPIRAL Collective*
